LIVING HEALTHY DURING THE PANDEMIC

Good health is our principal, and we need it to enjoy the different colours of life. Fitness goes right along with it, as it helps us to maintain good health through proper physical activity. Health and fitness have gained prime importance in the present scenario because of the global pandemic. We must find ways for on how to live healthy during this pandemic as it has affected the lives of every person around the world and made them think about their lifestyles, at least once. People have realized that physical and mental health are equally important, and measures should be taken to sustain both of them.

It is rightly said: ‘’HEALTH IS WEALTH’’. And its significance is undeniable, especially during the current circumstances. As health is our foremost priority, we should set up a routine to live healthy in this pandemic. Therefore, here are some suggestions to keep up the good health by getting rid of bad habits and rescheduling our lifestyles at this time of the year, and make it one of our New Year resolution.

1. Waking up early

Waking up early in the morning is the first step towards a healthy way of life. It is an ancient quote: “EARLY TO BED AND EARLY TO RISE MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND WISE”. We have heard this from our childhood, and the reason behind this is the positive impact it has on our lives.

2. Taking a balanced diet at the right time

Eating healthy food full of nutrients is good, but eating it at the right time doubles its benefits. We should prefer fresh fruits and nuts over oily junk food. Junk has harmful effects while fruits help us make our immunity strong to combat the virus.

3. Taking hygienic measures

Taking hygienic measures and maintaining personal cleanliness is as vital as other factors are essential. We all know how invisible microscopic organisms are an enormous threat to our lives and can cause pernicious illness. Therefore, we should wash and sanitize our hands frequently to avoid the fatal virus.

4. Exercise, walk, or yoga leads our path towards good health

Exercise, walk, or yoga leads our path towards fitness along with good health. These activities not only play an integral role in losing weight but also in making ourselves sturdy and active. However, the morning walk is itself separately fruitful. In the morning, pollution-free air full of oxygen enters our lungs and makes them less susceptible to the virus, and we can easily live healthy during this pandemic.

5. Good Sleep

A good sleep of 6-7 hours is recommended at night, not of the day. According to research, sleeping at night is more valuable to health than at any other time. Nature has programmed our body to maintain the internal biological clock. So, working against it may cause serious health issues and make us vulnerable to certain diseases.

All the above habits not only make us healthy physically but also mentally. They keep us away from stress and anxiety and provide us with the strength to become vigorous from inside and outside. This routine will help us make our immune system strong, which assists us to live healthy during the pandemic. Hence, it is the need of the hour to adopt and practice good habits; to protect ourselves and our families from the lethal virus.

Indeed, Health and Fitness are the greatest blessings of God. And we should develop a positive attitude to conserve our health at any cost. A man can do wonders in this world only with good health. It is correct that: “A HEALTHY BODY HAS A HEALTHY MIND”. This quote well explains the essence of health and being fit, and the reason to maintain a quality and a healthy lifestyle.
